Excited!!

Today the fabric I ordered to make trivets came in!! I can't wait to start playing with it!! I'm using the fabrics to make gifts for a group of my friends in memory of a friend that passed away recently.

I got a pattern to work on a new line of children's clothing, so I'm excited about getting started on that along with making a new top. I SO need new clothes. I put on my lightweight winter coat and it was so big I could almost wrap it around me.

The last thing I'm a little excited about is I'm going to be dressing up the baby blanket I finished last week. I was discussing the blanket with the boss and dressing it up a little to promote other products. She got excited about it and helped me pick out and place buttons on the quilt that I need to sew down.

So what do I do tonight with all this excitement....sleep, I'm exhausted. Slow days at work are harder hen keeping busy!

Time to myself

Lately I haven't been making anything because I really need a little of me time. I'm working on switching my sewing studio and our spare bedroom. I really need a bigger space for all my sewing. I've also been working on a bunch of ideas to add to my product line, in which, I hope to be working on some of these things really soon. I'm debating if I should move the room first or try to do both. The new sewing room has to be painted before everything gets moved around and I'm not sure what colour I want to paint it...it was going to be a green/sage colour, but I'm not sure of that anymore either. I really want to work on something creative, other then moving. I think I need to use up some of the stash. If I use it, it'll be less to move!!

I did buy some fabric today to work on one of my newest ideas for The Persnickety Fairy(a division of Dragonfly Myst Designs). I've been trying to keep Dragonfly Myst Designs as my children's line and everything else will be part of The Persnickety Fairy..so basically I've been busy trying to keep two companies busy, plus hold down a full time job!!
