It's a New Year and time for new beginnings

2012 ended on a sad note, a very good friend and my only follower past away on Dec. 30 from a lengthy battle from ovarian cancer. I like to donate part of the money I make from my children's line of products to the Disney Conservation Fund and have been trying to figure out what do with my other items I sell under The Persnickety Fairy. I have decided that a portion from every sale will be donated toward ovarian cancer research in her name.

I have been keeping busy working on things that I just haven't finished. Today I finished working on a baby quilt that I made for a store display. I took a pre quilted baby panel, hand quilted around certain parts of it, made my own continuous bias binding and added it to the edge of the quilt. I usually don't make a bias binding, let alone use something printed, but this is something the boss wanted and I really love how it turned out. I'm going to have to do this more often!!
